This free tool turns spoken words into editable text live in your browser, using the W3C Web Speech API. It supports more than a dozen languages including Turkish, English, German and Russian; you can pause, edit, copy, and download the transcript as plain text or Markdown — without uploading anything from this site.
Open this tool, choose a language, press Start dictation, and speak — your browser turns the audio into text live; you can edit any word and download the result.
Pick the spoken language, press Start dictation, allow microphone access the first time, and speak. The transcript builds up live; you can stop, edit, and click Copy or Download to save it.
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and the Android version of those browsers support the Web Speech API the tool uses. Safari supports it on iOS and macOS too. Firefox does not currently expose it.
The browser handles the audio. In Chrome, Edge and Brave the speech engine is hosted by Google and processes the audio remotely to return text; in Safari it runs on-device. Either way this tool itself never receives or stores the audio.
Yes. The language picker covers Turkish, English (multiple variants), German, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian and more — switch any time before pressing Start.
Most speech engines pause when there's a long gap. The tool auto-restarts the session whenever the engine ends, so you can keep speaking without re-clicking Start.
The tool relies on the W3C Web Speech API specification (SpeechRecognition interface) implemented by your browser. The HTML editor uses contenteditable so the standard browser spell-check and clipboard work, with no extra script touching your text.
